2019 JuST Conference Presenter Applications
Thank you for considering presenting at the 2019 JuST Conference, October 15-17, 2019 in Cincinnati, OH! We are looking forward to reviewing your application. Please follow the instructions below carefully, as some things have changed from previous years.
There are two forms:
- Main Presenter Application: The Main Presenter is the point of contact for a session. If you are the only presenter for your session or if you are the primary contact for your session, please complete this form. A session will NOT be considered without this form.
- Co-Presenter Application: The Co-Presenter application is for sessions that have more than one presenter. The second, third, fouth, etc. presenters each need to complete this form. A session will NOT be considered unless all of the co-presenters have completed this form in addition to the Main Presenter application. NOTE: Registration fees are waived for up to two (2) presenters per presentation. Additional presenters will receive a discounted registration rate.
Please be sure to review the form in FULL before you start. You will have the option to save the form and return to it once you are ready to submit.
Please also review these instructions carefully as some of our presenter policies have changed.
For presentations involving more than one professional: one presenter must complete the Main Application form while each co-presenter must complete the Co-presenter Application. The Main Presenter will be the point of contact for the team and is responsible for ensuring that all individuals submit the required documentation together.
Registration fees are waived for up to two (2) presenters per presentation. Additional presenters will receive a discounted registration rate.
Speaker Reimbursements & Travel Expenses: Shared Hope will give preference to advanced workshop topics, as well as presenters who are able to cover some or all travel expenses. This conference is not supported by grants. 100% of ticket fees go towards covering the event costs. Shared Hope is unable to pay honorariums, speaker fees, per diem, or miscellaneous costs for any presenter at our annual conference. Requests for assistance with airfare and hotel expenses (only) will be evaluated individually. It is our policy to treat all presenters alike. If you do not check the box requesting assistance, we will assume you do not need expenses covered. Please also be aware that we will changing our reimbursement policy this year. In the past, we have coordinated travel arrangements, but this year we will be offering reimbursements.
Due Date – March 1, 2019. Late applications will be considered if space is still available.
Please note that Shared Hope International reserves the right to adjust titles, bios and session descriptions.
Presentation Title - The title should be kept short, preferably no more than 12 words. The conference organizers may ask you to modify the title if necessary.
Presentation Description – (800 character limit) The presentation description should be concise, but accurate, in its description of the presentation. Keep in mind that attendees will use this description to determine which presentations to attend. Be clear on what content is covered. In creating your presentation outline, consider the target audience, content level (basic, intermediate, or advanced), and time constraints. Most presentations will be granted 75-90 minutes max.
You must include three objectives separate from your description that we can submit in our applications for accreditation.
Photo – The photo you submit will be printed in our conference program and utilized on the website. We must have a high-resolution headshot and prefer photos that compliment your face (no sunglasses, hats, etc.). If you are unable to provide a headshot, you may provide your agency’s logo instead. You must attach the photo as a separate file in jpeg, tiff or png format, saved as your name. If the photo resolution does not meet our standards, we may request a new photo.
Bio – Due to space limitations in our program materials, we ask that you please limit your bio to 800 characters.
Resume – All presenters must submit a current CSV or resume with their application, to include any/all degrees (with the institution and year) and relevant certifications, trainings, etc. This is purely for applications to national accreditation agencies such as NASW, NBCC, CLE.
Additional Info - Applicants may apply to present as many workshops as they like, but will not be selected for more than two titles. All workshops must pertain or connect to the subject of juvenile sex trafficking within U.S. borders (citizen or non-resident) – through prevention, intervention, investigation, prosecution, therapeutic services, etc. Workshops that do not make the connection to this subject will not be considered.
